The BIMReL Project has been partially funded by Lombardy Region within the Smart Living Program (2017-2019).
With the support of partners Politecnico di Milano has planned for three main activities regarding the development of the research project:
- Coordination and project management.
- Research aimed at structuring the platform.
- Experimental development activities.
Why is a platform necessary?
To collect information on construction products, plant products, furnishings and vehicles in an orderly manner, facilitating the sharing and exchange of such information between different actors.
What does the platform contain?
The technical-commercial data of the products, with particular attention to performance data, such as those related to the needs of safety, health, well-being, energy efficiency and environmental, economic and social sustainability in a logic of management of the life cycle.
How does the platform improve the supply chain?
Allowing the sharing of information between different operators in the construction sector, such as manufacturers, retailers, designers, construction companies, maintenance workers, property managers, trade associations, public or private owners.
